Summer Camp: Game Day with Python and Minecraft
Entering G4-6
Summer Camp 6/25 – 6/29, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Python is a kid-friendly platform, text-based programming language for aspired learners to build their coding skills. If your child is one with similar passion, this camp is a good fit for him/her. Although previous experience with icon-based language would be helpful, this camp is intended for learners with no prior knowledge or experience in programming.
It is a fun and easy way to learn the coding skills for developing his/her own Minecraft games using Python as well as other popular games, such as RPG (Role Playing Games) and even a Star Wars game!
He/she will learn the fundamental computing principles such as: creating and using variables, basic arithmetic operations, conditional statements, loops, creating and using lists of variables, creating and manipulating strings, calling functions. Object-oriented concepts of classes and objects will also be introduced.
